WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IN 25 YEARS IF WE ALIGN OUR LIVES AND RESOURCES TO OUR VISION AND VALUES?

We hope to become a model of innovative, growing, well run and Biblically grounded Mennonite Churches.

ONE DESCRIPTION OF WHAT MIGHT OCCUR IS THAT…

…through prayer and faith we will work as a unified team. Our Anabaptist heritage will be evident as we enthusiastically promote its message of community and peace. Our year round teaching to all ages in Sunday school, through our discipleship track and over the pulpit will be firmly based in God’s word and proclaimed in plain, simple language. Our children will know scripture and be like a 72” HD television for the world to see the love of Jesus! The youth and young adult ministries will be integrally involved in corporate worship experiences, leadership training and ministry inquiry programs designed to help them to explore their call to ministry. Some will be sent out to plant churches and be involved in mission work around the world and in our own community. We will offer innovative Christ-centered approaches to supporting and strengthening families and single persons. Our community center will serve as a teaching center, a health clinic for non insured people, a Christ centered counseling center, a career training and direction service and as community gym offering programs and activities for children, youth, young adults, families, singles and seniors from our church and community. We will be known as a place of refuge for those that have experienced tragedy in their lives. Multiple corporate times and styles of worship will open our doors to diverse kinds of people with diverse needs and preferences. Some will serve in our internship program and live on campus in one of our church owned homes or dormitory. We will be a breeding ground and laboratory for new ideas for all churches in the country hosting one nationally acclaimed seminar each year. Our worship, discipleship, leadership and other materials will be produced and published in English, Italian and Spanish and will used by thousands of Mennonite churches throughout the world. Neffsville Mennonite Church will utilize all new technologies that aid us in spreading the Gospel. Our words and actions will show we expect the Holy Spirit to move mightily in our midst. We will use our jobs and day-to-day activities to share our faith in Jesus and demonstrate the power of God that is at work in our lives. There will be a sense that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. We will be eager to invite and welcome anyone who wants to journey with us in our common vision because we will have fun worshipping and serving God together. We will have all the funding we need from endowments and gifts and all the volunteers and staff that we need to not only run our ministry but to constantly expand it as persons give all that they can and then a little bit more. We will be known as the church where tradition and innovation meet.
